JSW MG Motor India has introduced the Hector Tomahawk PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) and at an introductory price of Rs 25.70 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). Both models are available with the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) rental scheme. Interestingly, the MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV is the brand’s first PHEV and India’s first mainstream plug-in hybrid SUV.
The new MG plug-in hybrid SUV lineup available in two variants – Exclusive 7-seat and Essence 7-seats – priced at Rs 25.07 lakh and Rs 27.80 lakh. Under the BaaS scheme, prices start at Rs 21.79 lakh, with Rs 3.20 per km battery rental charges. Official bookings are now underway, while deliveries will commence in November, 2026. It’s important to note that the introductory prices are applicable for a limited number of bookings.

Battery & Range
Starting with the powertrain, the new MG plug-in hybrid SUV features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a permanent magnet electric motor and a 20.5kWh battery pack. The petrol engine delivers power worth 102bhp and 125Nm of torque, while the electric motor is good for 201bhp and 237Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a dedicated hybrid e-clutch unit.
Charging Time
The Hector Tomahawk PHEV offers a claimed pure electric range of over 115km, and a total range of over 1,100km with a full fuel tank and a fully charged battery pack. It supports both 3.3kWh AC and 25kW DC charging. Using AC charging, the battery takes 7.5 hours to charge from 10 to 100 percent, while DC charging takes 35 minutes to charge from 30 to 80 percent.
Dimensions & Features
Based on MG’s ADAPT platform, the new MG plug-in hybrid SUV measures 4,745mm in length, 2,130mm in width (including mirrors) and 1,770mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,810mm.
