The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is a new ICC-sanctioned franchise cricket competition designed to strengthen the sport’s presence across Europe.
The inaugural season begins on August 26, 2026, and runs until September 20, bringing together six city-based franchises from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.
Each franchise combines local European talent with international stars, with the league featuring players such as Mitchell Santner, Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Daryl Mitchell and Anrich Nortje. Former India internationals including Ravichandran Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane and Vijay Shankar are also involved.
ETPL 2026 Teams
The six teams are Belfast Wolves, Dublin Guardians, Edinburgh Castle Rockers, Glasgow Cosmic, Amsterdam Flames and Rotterdam Dockers.
ETPL 2026 Venues
The competition will be played in Voorburg, Netherlands, and Malahide, Ireland. The league stage follows a double round-robin format, after which the top team advances directly to the final, while second and third contest a qualifier. The final is scheduled for September 20 at Malahide.
