Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Delivers with Ball, Takes 2 Wickets in 1 Over in Duleep Trophy; Watch

India’s latest teen sensation   is known for hitting the ball out of the park. But the 15-year-old delivered for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy in a different way.

The southpaw turned his arm over and ended up taking two wickets in four balls while playing vs North East Zone.

The kid who became the youngest to play for India and the world’s youngest international half-centurion was chosen to be the vice-captain for East Zone. He failed with the bat but delivered with the ball.

How Did It Happen?

Vaibhav’s first scalp was Kishan Lyngdoh. The teen tossed it up, and it was fuller which tempted the batter to come down the wicket and try a huge heave. Lyngdoh did not connect properly and ended up giving an easy catch. But the young man was not done yet needed just three more deliveries to achieve a double strike. On this occasion, it was a quicker ball to Imliwati Lemtur. The batter edged it and wicketkeeper   took an easy catch.

National Duty Is on

Vaibhav is right now representing India in the T20Is after having a great IPL 2026 that saw him win the Orange Cap and be named the Most Valuable Player. He is the youngest to win both and also has set a new record for most sixes in a single IPL season.

What’s Next for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

He will next be seen in action in the T20Is vs Afghanistan that begin on September 13. The 15-year-old is also in the squad for the Asian Games. He’s expected to be part of India’s T20 World Cup and Olympic plans in 2028.
