Yash’s much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups is heading for a massive opening at the box office. The Geetu Mohandas directorial has created massive buzz ahead of its worldwide release on August 26, and the final Day 1 advance booking numbers are proof. According to the latest Sacnilk data, the film has crossed Rs 64 crore in India advance sales when blocked seats are included. The Hindi version has emerged as the biggest contributor among the language versions, while Karnataka continues to be the strongest individual state market. With more than 15 lakh tickets already sold, Toxic is set for a huge start.
Toxic Advance Booking Sets The Stage For An Earth-Shattering Start At The Box Office
The advance booking numbers for reached an impressive level just before its theatrical release. The gangster film has collected around Rs 49.51 crore in India in Day 1 pre-sales, with more than 15 lakh tickets sold across over 25,600 shows. Including blocked seats, the total rises to Rs 64.85 crore.
The numbers show that Yash’s popularity is not limited to the Kannada-speaking market. While Karnataka remains a major force for the film, the Hindi version has recorded the highest advance gross among the language versions. This is a major sign of Toxic and Yash’s pan-India reach.

Toxic Advance Booking States-Wise Breakdown
Karnataka remains the strongest individual state for Toxic. The state has recorded around Rs 19.74 crore in advance gross when blocked seats are included, with a reported real occupancy of 64%. More than 2,100 shows have been tracked, and a large number of them are already marked as almost full or filling fast.
Maharashtra follows with around Rs 5.45 crore in advance gross, while Telangana has registered approximately Rs 5.74 crore including blocked seats. Andhra Pradesh stands at around Rs 4.97 crore, Gujarat at Rs 4.09 crore and Delhi at Rs 3.95 crore. Tamil Nadu has also shown healthy interest, with advance gross of around Rs 3.60 crore.
The numbers also show strong traction in Uttar Pradesh, which has crossed Rs 3.40 crore, while West Bengal is close to Rs 2.60 crore. Odisha has recorded around Rs 1.85 crore and Rajasthan nearly Rs 1.84 crore.
Language-wise, however, Hindi is clearly ahead. The Hindi version has earned over Rs 24.31 crore across its formats, compared with more than Rs 16.63 crore for the Kannada versions. Telugu stands at around Rs 5.77 crore, while Tamil has crossed Rs 2.16 crore.

Toxic stars Yash in the lead and features an ensemble cast that includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas, with Yash also serving as a producer. It is being released in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English.
The film has received an A certificate in India and runs for 3 hours and 14 minutes.
