Batwara 1947, the partition-era film, opened on a decent note; however, the collection never really reached its expected peak. Given the fluctuating performance, the Sunny Deol starrer yet again witnessed a drastic drop on its second Monday, making it difficult for the film to even reach the 40 crore net milestone.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, the Rajkumar Santoshi-directed film earned approximately 35 lakhs, across 4330 shows with just 9 percent occupancy on Day 11 (Second Monday). From the previous day, the film saw a significant 73.1 percent drop. The situation is the same in overseas markets, with earnings dropping drastically to just 10 lakhs on Day 11.

Verdict
The film, also starring a powerful star cast including Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Kanikka Kapur, Abhimanyu Singh, and Ali Fazal, is produced by Aamir Khan Productions. Clashing with Awarapan 2, the Sunny Deol starrer has failed badly at the box office, and with the current trend, it seems impossible to even touch the 40 crore net mark.
