East Zone assumed firm control of their match against North East Zone on Monday, on day two of the Duleep Trophy 2026 game in Bengaluru. Skipper ,who failed to play a big knock with the bat, showed off his agile wicket-keeping skills with a clever stumping.

Shams Mulani was the best batter for West with a score of 52, which came off 94 balls with seven boundaries and a six. Mulani and Tanush Kotian then snared two wickets each to leave North Zone at 107/4 from 21 overs in their second innings, with a lead of 171. was batting on 39, while Abdul Samad managed 30.
