Telugu actor Teja Sajja has expressed gratitude to his fans, friends, family, directors and producers for the overwhelming love and blessings he received on his birthday on Sunday, saying the occasion made him reflect on how far he has come in his career.
Sharing a note on social media, Teja said he had never really celebrated his birthdays because he felt he had not achieved anything significant enough to celebrate.
“As far as I can remember, I’ve never really celebrated my birthdays. I always felt that I hadn’t achieved anything worth celebrating yet in life,” he wrote.
The actor, who has delivered back-to-back blockbusters, said this birthday felt different as he looked back at his journey.
“Birthdays have usually been a time for me to reflect on my journey, but yesterday, for the first time, I truly felt — from where we started to where we are today, we have come a very, very long way,” he said.
Teja thanked everyone whose support had contributed to his journey and expressed particular gratitude to his directors and producers.
“A very special thanks to all my directors and producers who have been such an important part of this journey. I’m always aware that whatever I have achieved has only been possible because of the support and love of the audience and the blessings of God,” he wrote.
He added that he hoped to celebrate a future achievement that could create meaningful social impact.
“Hopefully, someday, I will celebrate when we achieve something that creates real change, makes an impact, and is truly meaningful and helpful to society. There is still a very long way to go. Big dreams ahead,” he said.
Meanwhile, the makers of Teja’s next film announced its title on his birthday. Titled ‘Zombie Reddy 2 NXT LVL – Dead Or Alive’, the film is scheduled to release next year in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Nepali and Japanese.
Teja, who has delivered successful films including ‘HanuMan’ and ‘Mirai’, returns as the lead in the second instalment of the ‘Zombie Reddy’ franchise.
Prasanth Varma, who introduced the zombie genre to Telugu cinema with ‘Zombie Reddy’, serves as the creator of the sequel, while Suparn S Varma is directing the film.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, the film marks Teja’s second collaboration with the production house after ‘Mirai’.
Real Star Upendra has a prominent role, while Shanaya Kapoor is set to make her Telugu debut with the film.
Gowra Hari will compose the music, reuniting with Teja after ‘HanuMan’ and ‘Mirai’. Abhinandan Ramanujam is the cinematographer, with Banglam serving as production designer and Vijay Velukutty as editor.
The screenplay has been written by Hussain Dalal, Abbas Dalal, Prasanth Varma and Suparn S Varma, while Subbu K has penned the dialogues.
