Roger Federer Returns For US Open to Face Andy Rodick
Roger Federer is set to participate in two major events of the US Open, per the official announcement of the tennis tournament’s organisers. This is Federer’s comeback to a tennis venue in the US where he won five of the total 20 Grand Slam titles of his remarkable sports career at the US Open on the Flushing Meadows in New York. The Swiss tennis star had made his last appearance in New York four years after officially retiring from playing tennis.
US Open has revealed details of Federer’s return and the latter will face his longtime archenemy Andy Roddick, who was also successful in winning at this event with a New York crown back in 2003 besides being joined by two other tennis legends, former US Open champions Andre Agassi and John McEnroe.
We should expect all matches in one evening. Federer will play against Roddick for one set. And, Federer and McEnroe will battle against Roddick and Agassi in a one-time doubles match.

Then the record was broken on the 2009 occasion when, in a five sets encounter, Juan Martn del Potro was able to defeat him, and so ended his run. From that day onwards, no matter how hard he tried, Federer couldn’t clinch the US Open anymore. The only time he ever reached the finals after that was in 2015, where he lost to Novak Djokovic.
