Akanksha Chamola’s Lock Upp journey took an unexpected turn when her estranged husband, actor Gaurav Khanna, briefly entered the show. What seemed like a reunion, however, left Akanksha emotionally shaken. In a conversation with Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, Akanksha recalled entering Lock Upp believing that things were fine at home. She said she had no idea that the reality show would force her to confront difficult information about her family.
According to Akanksha, Gaurav’s visit changed that perception. She said something he told her about what was happening back home left her “shattered” and made it difficult to concentrate on the game.

Akanksha explained that her confidence in public was closely connected to the support she believed she had from her family. She said learning that things were not as she had assumed made her repeatedly wonder what had happened and left her struggling emotionally while filming the show.
Farah Khan also recalled sensing that Gaurav’s appearance could have a significant impact on Akanksha’s journey. Akanksha was eventually eliminated in the semi-final, while Shreya Kalra emerged as the winner.
Akanksha Chamola And Gaurav Khanna’s Marriage
Akanksha and Gaurav reportedly met during an audition and began dating before getting married in November 2016. Their wedding took place over three days in Gaurav’s hometown, Kanpur. During Lock Upp, Akanksha also spoke openly about their separation and revealed that they had different views about having children. She said she does not want to become a parent, including through adoption, while Gaurav wants children.
Akanksha, who has appeared in shows including Santoshi Maa, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, and Crime Patrol, became one of the season’s more talked-about contestants after candidly discussing her personal life on the reality show.
