Khatron Ke Khiladi 15: Gaurav Khanna Eliminated From Rohit Shetty’s Show After Painful Injury; What Happened During The Final Stunt?

Gaurav Khanna’s journey on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 has come to an end, and not quite in the way the actor would have wanted. The television star was eliminated after an injury during a demanding stunt left him unable to finish the task. The elimination challenge saw Gaurav compete against Shagun Sharma and Rubina Dilaik. The contestants had to jump between two narrow bridges suspended above water, with one bridge rotating, while collecting flags of different colours. There was no safety harness during the stunt.

Gaurav Khanna Injures Elbow During Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Stunt

Shagun completed her attempt with six flags, while Rubina collected five. Gaurav began his run confidently but lost his footing and fell into the water. The bigger setback came when he tried to climb back onto the platform. He injured his elbow and was unable to continue because of the pain.

Host Rohit Shetty subsequently revealed that Gaurav was already suffering from tennis elbow and that the stunt had aggravated the injury. With no way to complete the task, Gaurav had to bow out of the competition.

Gaurav Khanna Gets Emotional As He Says Goodbye

Gaurav became emotional while bidding farewell to the show. Before leaving, he named Farrhana Bhatt, Harsh Gujral and Orry, also known as Orhan Awatramani, among the contestants he had formed the closest bonds with during his time on the show. Fans on social media also rallied behind the actor, praising him for continuing to attempt the stunt despite the injury and for maintaining a sportsmanlike attitude throughout his stint.

Gaurav Khanna Had Faced Injuries Earlier Too

The elbow injury was not Gaurav’s first painful experience on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Earlier, he had shared pictures of bruises and marks on his back following a pellet-gun stunt.

The actor had described that experience as one of the most painful moments he had faced on the show. The stunt was part of the programme’s “pain auction”, in which contestants were subjected to increasing levels of discomfort as part of the challenge.

What’s Next For Gaurav Khanna?

Despite his Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 exit, Gaurav is expected to return to scripted television. The actor is reportedly set to headline an upcoming Star Plus fiction show and is said to be reuniting with producer Ekta Kapoor for a family romance drama opposite Shraddha Arya.
