Suriya is having a remarkable year at the box office, and Vishwanath And Sons has added another big achievement to his 2026 run. The family entertainer, which hit theatres on August 14, has continued to win over audiences with positive word of mouth. The film has now crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide, making it Suriya’s second grosser of the year after Karuppu. Starring Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, the Venky Atluri directorial continues to show solid numbers during its second weekend. Its latest milestone further hints at Suriya’s impressive box office form this year.
Suriya Scores Second Rs 200-Crore Grosser Of 2026
The makers of latest release, have announced that the film has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in worldwide gross collections. Suriya’s post-COVID releases, ranked by their Indian box office collections, include Karuppu at Rs 198.18 crore, followed by Vishwanath And Sons with Rs 100 crore crore in ten days. The film crossed the USD 2 million mark at the North American box office within its first week of release in August 2026, becoming Suriya’s highest-grossing film in the region to date.
The milestone comes after Suriya’s earlier 2026 release, delivered a strong theatrical performance. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film reportedly grossed more than Rs 300 crore worldwide, setting a strong benchmark for the actor’s box office run this year.
Vishwanath And Sons Box Office Collection Day 10
On Day 10, the film recorded an India gross of Rs 8.45 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 3.40 crore, while Tamil Nadu added Rs 3.50 crore. Karnataka contributed Rs 1.25 crore, with Kerala and the rest of India adding Rs 15 lakh each. The film has maintained a steady run since its theatrical release and has benefited from favourable audience reactions. According to Sacnilk, Vishwanath And Sons earned an estimated Rs 7.30 crore in India net collections on Day 10. Released on August 14, the Venky Atluri directorial also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sunil, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Bhavani Sre, Viva Harsha and Master Charvik.
Vishwanath and Sons Is Suriya’s Second Big Release
The film’s India net collection had reached Rs 100.65 crore, while its India gross stood at Rs 116.42 crore. It also earned an estimated Rs 1.50 crore from overseas markets on Day 10, taking its overseas gross to Rs 53.25 crore. The film follows Sanjay Vishwanath, played by Suriya, whose carefully planned life takes an unexpected turn after his son needs a bone marrow transplant. His search for the child’s surrogate mother, Maddy, portrayed by Mamitha Baiju, eventually leads to a complex relationship.
