CBSE Board Exam 2026 Datesheet: CBSE has released a tentative date to the board examinations of class 10 and 12 of 2026. The 10th exam will be held from 17 February to 9 March and 12th exam from 17 February to 9 April 2026. See the entire schedule on cbse.gov.in.
CBSE Board Exam 2026 Timetable: There is big news for millions of students across the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a tentative date for 2026 board examinations. Now students and teachers will be able to make their preparations with already fixed planning. This datsheet has been released for both class 10 and 12 and can be seen on the official website cbse.gov.in.
When will CBSE board exams start 2026?
According to CBSE, the main board examinations of class 10 and 12 will start from 17 February 2026. Class 10th examinations will run till 9 March 2026, while Class 12th examinations will end on 9 April 2026. Most subjects will be examined from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. However, the examination of some subjects will be only two hours, ie from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Second exam for class 10 (Exam-2)
CBSE also stated that Class 10 Exam-2 i.e. Second Examination is likely to start from 15 May 2026.

- 17 February: Maths (Standard and Basic)
- February 21: English (Communicative and Language-Lecture)
- February 25: Science
- 26 February: Home Science
- 27 February: Computer Application, IT, Artificial Intelligence
- March 2: Hindi Course A and B
- March 7: Social Science
- March 9: Language subjects and music
(Apart from this, examinations of other vocational and language subjects have also been fixed.)
How many students will be included CBSE Board Exam 2026?
The board has informed that this time, about 45 lakh students will appear in the examination in CBSE board exam 10th and 12th. Out of these, candidates will take the exam from 26 other countries besides India. Overall, there will be 204 subjects examinations.

Why the tentative date of the board exam released?
CBSE says that this tentative date sheet has been released so that students can plan their studies in a better way. Schools can manage their educational and administrative activities on time. The duty and vacation planning of teachers can also be done easily.
