Saif Hassan continued a lone battle as he took on the Indian spinners and completed his fifty in 36 balls with a six off Axar Patel. But the batter was living a charmed life with the left-arm spinner dropping him early in the innings.
With 61 runs required from the last five overs, the opener extended his lucky stay with Shivam Dube dropping him on the first ball of Varun Chakravarthy’s last over. Two balls later, Hassan was again put down by wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.
Hassan miscued while trying to send a length ball outside off-stump for a maximum as the ball went straight up. Samson was quick to react and shouted his lungs out to send the teammates away. But he horrifically misjudged it as the ball evaded his gloves and went to ground.
Twitter was in disbelief as Samson made a meal of a straightforward chance, as Varun was frustrated with a second chance being put down in the same over.
That was supposed to be taken bruh!
Yeah!
