Kareena Kapoor and Dhanush are veterans of Bollywood and Kollywood. Rumours were rife that they were in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a mythological jungle adventure. S Mithran was reportedly the director. Now, in a recent interview, Mithran has confirmed being in talks with Kareena and Dhanush. While he did not reveal further details, the director hoped the discussion would lead to something good. Kareena and Dhanush’s teams are yet to react to the development. If the talks are successful, the actors will be working with Bhansali for the first time.

In an interview with Cinema Vikatan, Mithran said, “Talks are underway; we are looking at the dates for confirmation. Hopefully, something good will come out of it.”
About Kareena Kapoor, Dhanush’s film
and Dhanush’s film is reportedly in the writing stage. According to Bollywood Hungama, the script has undergone multiple rewrites before being finalised. A source told the portal that the pre-production is expected to begin in November 2026. The principal photography is planned for January 2027.

Dhanush was seen in Kara earlier this year. His upcoming films are Om: Chapter 1 – Uthiram The Blood Wood and D56. While the mythological jungle adventure could mark Kareena’s first pan-India film, he has acted in multiple Hindi films such as Raanjhanaa, Shamitabh, Atrangi Re and Tere Ishk Mein.
