Trade pundits predict a final total of over $1.6 billion, meaning the film could end up among the top 15 highest-grossing films of all time despite its R-rating. The Odyssey is also Nolan’s career-biggest grosser, and the film has amassed a mind-boggling $350 million-plus in IMAX, a feat not achieved by any film before.
