Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) has announced a price increase of up to Rs 25,000 across its passenger vehicle range, effective September 1, 2026.
The company said the revision has been introduced to partly offset the impact of rising input costs and continued inflationary pressures. The increase will apply to both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs).
The exact quantum of the price increase will vary depending on the model and variant. Tata Motors said it will continue to absorb a significant portion of the higher costs while passing on part of the impact to customers.
The company’s passenger vehicle portfolio includes models across multiple segments, from the Tiago and Punch to SUVs such as the Nexon, Harrier and Safari, along with its range of electric vehicles.
Tata Motors said that despite the price revision, it remains focused on maintaining the overall value proposition of its vehicles and offering customers a competitive range across different price segments.
The latest move comes amid continued cost pressures across the automobile industry, with manufacturers facing higher expenses for various raw materials, components and other inputs.
For customers planning to purchase a Tata Motors vehicle, the new prices will come into effect from September 1, making purchases before the revision potentially more cost-effective depending on the model and variant.
The company expects the revised pricing structure to help partially manage the impact of higher costs while continuing to invest in its ICE and electric vehicle portfolio and meet changing customer demand.
