Now, BYD has just launched a more affordable variant of the Sealion 7. The new base variant is called Dynamic and it is priced at Rs 41.9 lakh (Ex-sh). BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic Base Variant
As part of the ‘Celebrate Your Dreams With BYD’ festival, the company has just launched a more affordable base variant of Sealion 7. At Rs 41.9 lakh (Ex-sh), it opens up a new entry point into the luxury electric SUVs already attractive prices. A smaller battery is the primary reason of the lower price point with the base Dynamic variant.
The smaller battery in question is rated at 71.8 kWh worth of capacity, when compared to the 82.56 kWh battery packs seen in Premium and Performance variants. The smaller battery with Dynamic trim promises 520 km range and the single RWD motor is rated at 231 bhp and it can accelerate to 100 km/h from standstill in 7.3 seconds.

The top-spec Performance variant offers a dual motor config with up to 530 bhp of peak power and a 4.5 seconds 0-100 km/h sprint along with 542 km range. Now mid-spec Premium variant has a RWD single motor config, but is rated at 313 bhp and promises 6.7s 0-100 km/h sprint and it boasts the highest range in this comparo at 567 km.
Missing Features
In terms of exterior design, BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic base variant looks more or less the same as other variants, except for smaller 19-inch wheels, a size smaller than top-spec variant. Difference can also be seen in the braking department where Dynamic variant misses out on driller discs and has floating type calipers.

Charging is slower with Dynamic base variant with AC charging peaking at 7 kW and DC at 110 kW, while higher variants get 11 kW AC and 150 kW DC capabilities. Driver monitoring camera, HUD, hands-free function for powered tailgate, auto-tilt ORVMs and ORVM memory, leather wrapped steering, leather seats, driver’s memory function along with powered lumbar and leg rest are missing with Dynamic variant.
Also, speakers are down to 10 from 12 and then PM 2.5 air filter and mood lighting are removed. That said, 15.6-inch rotatable infotainment screen, 10.25-inch TFT cluster, LED headlights, powered and ventilated front seats, 360 cameras, Level-2 ADAS, 11 airbags, glass roof and other attributes are offered right from the new base Dynamic variant of BYD Sealion 7.
