BREAKING: Simple Wave Family Family Electric Scooter: Launch Date & Other Details

Simple’s upcoming family-oriented electric scooter will be called the Wave. It was earlier speculated that the name would be Arrive, but new information confirms otherwise. The e-scooter is all set to be launched on September 2.

The brand is known for making sporty e-scooters – One and the Ultra – but the Wave branches the range in a different direction. Given its nature, the   will have a more conventional styling. Its siblings have a very edgy, aggressive design, however the Wave is curvier, and easier to like. Gone is the V-shaped headlight unit, and in comes an LED bar-shaped headlight. The front turn indicators are mounted on the handlebar cowl, while the rear ones seem to be integrated in the tail-light strip.

The scooter has a seemingly spacious floorboard space, and a wide cubby on the front-apron, which should make the scooter more practical for every usage. The seat also looks quite spacious and should be able to seat two people comfortably. The scooter also has a unique-looking pillion grab-rail, but its design should make it easier to grab on to.

It’s also expected to have a range of about 180 km. While the motor details are yet unknown, it will be a mid-mounted motor and will have a chaindrive. Battery details are yet under wraps too, but the charging port is mounted on the apron, and should make it easier to charge the scooter.

The Wave will have a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. Both the wheels are 12-inches with 90-section tyres. The scooter has a conventional fork and twin rear shocks.
