New Skoda Kylaq Sportline Launch Price Rs 11.32 Lakh – Sales Growth In Focus

Skoda Auto India has expanded Kylaq lineup with the launch of a new Sportline variant. Positioned between Signature+ and Prestige, Kylaq Sportline is priced at Rs 11.32 lakh for the 6-speed manual and Rs 12.32 lakh for the 6-speed automatic. Along with introducing a sportier-looking variant, Skoda has also updated features on some of the lower trims.

The timing is significant, as Kylaq has emerged as the main volume driver for Skoda in India. However, sales have remained largely in the 3,000-4,500 units per month range during 2026. With the festive season approaching, Sportline could help generate fresh interest and give buyers another option in the increasingly competitive sub-4m SUV segment.

Kylaq range now consists of seven variants – Classic, Classic+, Signature, Signature+, Sportline, Prestige and Prestige+. All variants continue with the 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine.

Sportline sits Rs 55,000 above Signature+ and Rs 43,000 below Prestige with both transmission options. This gives Skoda another variant around the Rs 11-12 lakh ex-showroom price bracket without pushing buyers directly towards the higher Prestige trims.

Kylaq Sales Growth Important For Skoda India

Kylaq has become very important for Skoda’s India sales growth. In July 2026, Skoda sold 5,709 cars, of which Kylaq accounted for 3,727 units. That translates to around 65% of Skoda’s total domestic sales for the month. Kylaq sales were up 10.36% YoY from 3,377 units in July 2025. However, sequential performance was weaker, with sales falling 7.72% from 4,039 units in June.

The broader 2026 trend also indicates that volumes have largely stabilised rather than continuing on a strong upward trajectory. Kylaq recorded 3,220 units in January, 4,532 in February, 4,670 in March, 4,089 in April, 3,443 in May, 4,039 in June and 3,727 in July. During January-July 2026, Kylaq sales stood at 27,720 units, compared to 27,091 units during the corresponding period last year. That’s an increase of only 629 units or 2.32% YoY.

Sportline Arrives Ahead Of Festive Season

In July,  contributed 993 units, Kushaq 833 units and Kodiaq 156 units. Kylaq alone outsold these three models combined and remains responsible for nearly two-thirds of Skoda’s monthly volumes. Sportline therefore arrives at an important time. Rather than changing the mechanical package, Skoda is using additional styling, equipment and a strategically positioned price to broaden Kylaq’s appeal.
