Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s public spat has become a hot topic of discussion on social media. On Wednesday (August 19), the Hero No 1 actor’s wife was spotted at Bandra Family Court with her son, Yashvardhan. As per reports, she withdrew the divorce plea against her actor-husband. Her decision has left the internet divided. However, Poonam Pandey, who is known for making controversies with her statements and actions, has openly extended her support to Govinda. She called out Sunita Ahuja for calling her husband ‘Sugar Daddy’. Poonam also mentioned in her statement that Sunita should respect Govinda and his image before mincing words against him in public.
Poonam Pandey Supports Govinda
was spotted at a public event in Mumbai, where she was questioned about her Aa Gaya Hero co-star . Poonam criticised Sunita Ahuja’s harsh language and public slurs against him. She even questioned why anyone would abuse such a major star.
The Nasha star remarked, “Gaali mat do yaar. Itne achche pati dev mile hai, tumko Govinda mila hai. Kya baat kar rahe ho? Pehle se nahi pata tha kya ke woh itne bade star hai? (Don’t abuse. You’ve got such a wonderful husband; you’ve got Govinda. What are you talking about? Didn’t you know he was such a big star before?)”

Poonam Pandey also confessed that she would prefer supporting Govinda rather than someone who has been constantly abusing. While speaking about the ‘sugar daddy’ remark, the actress said, “Yeh kuch bhi hai. Peeth peeche thodi na ghum rahe the; airport pe the. (Anything she says. He was not roaming behind her back; he was at the airport).”
What Did Sunita Ahuja Say About Govinda?
For the unversed, Govinda was spotted with his rumoured girlfriend, Komal Rani Swarnkr at the airport. The video went viral, and was questioned about the same by paps. She told them, “Picture banna bhi toh chaiye. Promotion hota hai picture banne ke baad. Kya bolneka. Beti ki umar ki ladki ko leke ghum raha hai, sharam toh aana chaiye thodha isko. Aur standard toh hona chaiye. Tumhara sugar daddy itna ameer hai, kapde toh dhang ke pehno. Humlog ko dekho kya style me chalte hai. Very bad, he’s lost his mind.” (sic)
Later, Govinda warned Sunita Ahuja through a video message and asked her not to pass abusive remarks about him and his co-star.
Coming back to Sunita Ahuja and Yashvardhan’s spotting at the court, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha confirmed that she did file for divorce, but her recent visit was to withdraw the case. He told NDTV, “Family matters should stay within the family. Many things get resolved after sitting and talking things through. If the case was to be withdrawn today, why was it filed in the first place? This pains me. Why did we become a spectacle?”
For the unversed, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in March 1987. They are parents to two children, a daughter, Tina, and a son, Yashvardhan.
