EWC 2026 Week 6: Team Falcons Reclaim Club Championship Lead as Four Champions Are Crowned

Week 6 of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 delivered another action-packed weekend, with champions crowned in Rocket League, PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six Siege and Chess.

With only one week remaining, the battle for the overall Club Championship has intensified, with Team Falcons reclaiming the top position.

Team Falcons secured the Rocket League title after sweeping Spacestation Gaming 4-0 in the Grand Final. The championship-winning roster featured Samy “Dralii” Hajji, Yazeed Abdullah “Kiileerrz” Bakhashwin and Saleh Abdullah “Rw9” Bakhashwin.

The victory saw Dralii create EWC history by becoming the first player to win three EWC titles, achieving the feat with three different organisations. He previously lifted the trophy with Team BDS in 2024 and Karmine Corp in 2025.

Team Falcons collected $400,000 (approximately INR 3.8 crore) and 1,000 Club Championship points for their Rocket League triumph. Rw9 was named the tournament’s MVP after an outstanding campaign in which he averaged 0.78 goals, 0.83 assists and 1.91 saves per game.

Reflecting on becoming a three-time EWC champion, Dralii said: “It means a lot to me, to have done such a thing in such a legendary tournament. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier about it, not just for myself but also for my teammates and Falcons. Words can’t explain how happy I am about this.”

S2G Esports Win PUBG Mobile World Cup

S2G Esports held their nerve to win the PUBG Mobile World Cup at EWC 2026 following a tense Grand Final.

The Turkish side reached match point in Game 15 but had to wait until the final game to confirm the championship. After being eliminated early in the deciding contest, S2G were forced to watch their rivals’ attempts to close the gap.

After three days of intense competition, S2G Esports finished at the top of the standings. Their combined prize money from the group stage and Grand Final amounted to $555,000 (approximately INR 5.3 crore).

Tianba’s Zhang “Qzz” Qingbo was named the SONY MVP, having recorded 35 eliminations and 32 knockdowns. He also earned $25,000 (approximately INR 23.9 lakh) in prize money.

S2G Esports player Faruk “HamsiG” Hamsici summed up the team’s emotions after the victory: “All focus all the time. We did it, we are champions, we are so happy now!”

FaZe Clan Complete Rainbow Six Siege Triple Crown

FaZe Clan defeated FURIA 3-1 in the Rainbow Six Siege Grand Final to claim the EWC championship.

The victory also produced a historic achievement, with Jaime “Cyber” Ramos, Lucas “soulz1” Schinke and Eduardo “KDS” Chiste Fontes becoming the first players to complete Siege’s Triple Crown by winning the Six Invitational, a Major and the EWC. Coach Rafael “RafadeLL” de Oliveira also completed the feat.

Cyber was named the SONY MVP after an exceptional Grand Final performance. He recorded 53 eliminations against only 29 deaths across the four maps.

“I’m very happy for this achievement,” said Cyber after receiving the MVP award. “[With] the boys, I was kind of playing with them that I was going to steal their MVP award because I was a little behind. In this finals I managed to do pretty well. I’m super thankful for everyone, like my family, the fans, especially the fans that came all the way from Brazil.”

Magnus Carlsen Retains EWC Chess Crown

Team Liquid representative Magnus Carlsen successfully defended his EWC Chess title, producing a flawless run throughout the competition.

Carlsen remained unbeaten across the tournament, recording a combination of wins and draws as he overcame AG.AL’s Denis Lazavik to secure back-to-back EWC Chess championships.

Team Falcons Retake Club Championship Lead

The Club Championship standings underwent another major change following Team Falcons’ Rocket League triumph.

The 1,000 points earned from their championship victory took Falcons to 4,400 points, moving them ahead of AG.AL, who sit on 4,100. AG.AL had climbed the standings after Denis Lazavik’s impressive run in Chess, but Falcons’ Rocket League success propelled them back to the summit.

Team Vitality and Natus Vincere remain within striking distance, setting up a potentially dramatic final week.
