The saffron party said its expanded team reflects a balance of youth and experience while retaining several seasoned leaders, including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, who has been appointed one of its 13 vice-presidents. Of the 65 office-bearers announced on Monday, 51 are new faces. The revamped team also includes 12 women and six leaders from minority communities.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been named national treasurer, a post he held earlier also before becoming a minister in the first government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May 2014. Deepak Mhaskey has been named as BJP’s IT cell head, replacing Amit Malviya.

Here Are The First Reactions Of Members Of BJP’s New Team:

Deepak Mhaskey: The BJP’s newly appointed IT cell head said the party’s priority is to win elections and serve the public while countering propaganda through sustained social media outreach.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party’s priorities are absolutely clear: we must win elections to serve the public, and our entire team will work wholeheartedly towards this using social media. Propaganda will continue to appear in the future, just as it has in the past; however, the truth cannot remain hidden. While propaganda may create a momentary atmosphere, if we consistently provide the right answers over the long term, people’s misconceptions are dispelled, and the Bharatiya Janata Party will certainly proceed in that direction,” Mhaskey said.

“Certainly, this is a huge responsibility, and I feel honoured that a party worker has been entrusted with a responsibility at the national level. I express my gratitude to the state organisation, the national organisation, our Chief Minister, our National President Nitin Nabin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all senior leaders and fellow party workers. I will make every effort to fulfil this responsibility with complete dedication…,” he added.

Smriti Irani: Irani thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Nitin Nabin after being appointed as national general secretary of the party.

Describing her journey from an “ordinary BJP karyakarta” to the party’s top organisational team, Irani, in a post on X, said, “The BJP has created an ordinary worker like me and bestowed upon me the extraordinary responsibility of National General Secretary to contribute to the organisation – this is a tribute to the worker-centric system.”

“Serving the organisation and contributing under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of the National President Nitin Nabin is a matter of commitment and dedication for me,” Irani added.

“The newly constituted BJP team is committed to laying the foundation for fulfilling the resolve of Viksit Bharat and is dedicated to realising the spirit of Nation First.”

M Nagaraja: Newly elected BJP National Vice President M Nagaraja: He expressed pride in being part of the party’s new team under president Nitin Nabin. He said the expanded leadership reflects India’s diversity and representation across communities and regions. Nagaraja also exuded confidence in the BJP’s prospects in Karnataka and vowed to strengthen the party’s organisation across South India.

“I feel proud to be an office-bearer in the cabinet of Shri Nitin Nabin ji, our Rashtriya Adhyaksh. The office-bearers he has chosen represent the entire India, all communities and all sections of society. I am a part of that and feel proud to be one among them,” Nagaraja said.

“Definitely, we will be doing our best of our lifetime in the process of Viksit Bharat 2047,” he said.

Asked about his role in strengthening the BJP in South India, Nagaraja expressed confidence about the party’s prospects in Karnataka.

“In Karnataka, we are expecting elections to be held in 2028. We are definitely… we are sure of coming back to power. The people of Karnataka are ready to vote in favour of us,” he said.

Nagaraja also praised the BJP’s workers in the state, saying, “Our karyakartas are very capable, and we are going to do well in the coming 2028 election.”

Manpreet Singh Badal: After being appointed as the BJP’s national vice-president, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Nabin for reposing faith in him. Calling the new role a “test” rather than a reward, he said he accepted the responsibility with humility and prayed for success.

“I received news this afternoon that a decision has been made to appoint me as a vice president of the BJP. My very first words are to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and our National President Nitin Nabin. I thank them for placing such immense trust in me and deeming me capable of handling this responsibility. I also wish to thank the Punjab BJP leadership for always encouraging and supporting me. I realise that this responsibility is not a reward but a test, and I pray that the Almighty grants me success in it. I accept this responsibility with great humility,” Badal stated.

Tirath Singh Rawat: Rawat has been appointed as a national vice president of the BJP. Reiterating his dedication to the party following the appointment, Rawat said, “I accept the decision taken by my party’s central leadership, and I will fulfil my duties with absolute dedication. We are soldiers and workers of the party. Positions come and go, but as a worker, I will continue to serve just as I did before. I would like to express my gratitude to the central leadership, our National President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the organisation for honouring me with this responsibility.”

“We will work towards achieving the vision of a ‘Developed India by 2047’ (Viksit Bharat) and ensure it reaches the grassroots level. It is certain that we will emerge victorious in the 2027 elections and continue to move forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi,” he added.

The reshuffle, which came over a decade after the last organisation rejig of this level in 2015 under the then party president Amit Shah, has again fuelled speculation of an imminent Cabinet reshuffle.
