Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali: Team considering multiple release dates

Vijay Deverakonda is currently working on two films, one of which is Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film marks their second collaboration after “Taxiwala.”

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series Films, “Ranabaali” was earlier announced for release on September 11, 2026. However, the film has now been postponed due to delays in shooting and production.

The team is currently considering multiple options for the new release date. October 30, 2026, is one of the dates under consideration. However, the makers are reportedly not convinced about releasing the film during this period, as it is generally considered a relatively dull phase for theatrical business in the Telugu states.

The Deepavali weekend would be a more favourable option, but Ranbir Kapoor’s “Ramayana” is scheduled to arrive during the festival period. With the competition in mind, the “Ranabaali” team is exploring other possibilities.

Christmas 2026 is another window being considered. The makers are expected to take a final call on the release date shortly.

“Ranabaali” is a period action drama set in colonial-era Rayalaseema, revolving around migration, conflict and the transformation of Vijay Deverakonda’s character into a warrior.

Vijay Deverakonda has previously described the film as a responsibility that goes beyond just making a movie. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of this film. She is currently recuperating from her injury.
