Awarapan 2 Ending Explained: Will ‘Shivam’ Emraan Hashmi Return With Part Three?

The much-anticipated sequel of the year, Awarapan 2, has finally released. Starring Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and others, the film is directed by Nitin Kakkar. Mohit Suri directed the prequel, which gained cult status over the years. The story of the sequel picks up after the events of Awarapan (2007). After 19 years, the world of Awarapan is defined by its emotional core. The film also brings back the ghosts of the past that end up becoming catalysts in the tale. By the end of Awarapan 2, the future plans of the franchise are revealed. Here’s how.

  begins with Shivam   returning to Aliyah’s (Shriya Saran) grave. His life has lost its purpose, and he is soaked in grief. Miraculously, he finds a baby girl in the graveyard. He gives her a new life and a name, Aliyah (Myrah Shivan). After she grows up, she gets a family, and her adoptive parents take her with them. However, the parents are child traffickers and are killed by Interpol’s Samarth Singh (Atul Kumar), who wants Shivam to go to Bangkok and rescue Aliyah and 40 other children.

Shivam is introduced to the gang war in Thailand. Queen of Bangkok, Nafisa (Shabana Azmi), is pitted against Amrit Singh (Barun Chanda). The latter’s children are Sikandar (Anirudh Rawal), Zara   and Zoravar (Puran Gabbi). Amrit’s confidants are Jaideep (Suvinder Vicky) and Mehmood (Vijayant Kohli).

Zoravar wants to rule as the next crime lord and kills his father. At the funeral, a security breach and firing introduce Amrit’s children to Shivam, who disguises himself as a taxi driver. He rescues them from the attackers and wins Zoravar’s confidence. It is believed that Nafisa planned the attack. Jaideep and Mehmood discover Shivam’s past and throw a challenge at him. He has to catch hold of Nafisa’s gang member, dead or alive, to become a part of Zoravar’s gang. He succeeds.

Zoravar is confident that there’s a mole in his gang who is reporting to Nafisa secretly. Shivam finds out that Zara has been meeting her often. When he confronts her, she reveals the agenda for her unfaithfulness towards her brother. Shivam seeks her help in rescuing the kidnapped children. While Zoravar’s faith in Shivam remains strong, he believes that Mehmood is the traitor and asks Jaideep to shoot him.

Later, it is revealed that Jaideep was working with Nafisa and learns about Shivam being associated with Interpol’s mission to erase the gang’s existence. Zoravar asks Shivam to prove his loyalty by killing Samarth. Instead of Samarth, Shivam points the gun at Zoravar, but there are no bullets in it. Jaideep fires at the Interpol officer and exposes Shivam’s identity.

Shivam is jailed and tortured. When he is at his weakest, he imagines Aliyah , who motivates him to fight and rescue the children. He manages to escape jail. Zara is gradually falling in love with him. With her help, he finds out the whereabouts of the kidnapped children. Zara reveals Aliyah is dead. Protecting Shivam from Zoravar, Jaideep informs him that the children are locked in one of the containers. When the container opens, Aliyah runs towards Shivam. It is then revealed that she gave her sacred locket to a friend, who was killed by Zoravar’s men. The latter is about to attack Zara, Sikandar and Aliyah; Shivam drops a container and kills him.

In the end, it is disclosed that Nafisa grants Shivam a chance to live and rescue Aliyah only on one condition. He joins her gang and becomes a ‘slave’. Shivam leaves Zara, Sikandar and Aliyah to lead a new life. Another part of  is hinted; however, there is no official confirmation from the makers.
