Priya Bhavani Shankar is a familiar face in Tamil cinema, having appeared in several successful films, including Karthi’s Kadaikutty Singam. She was also part of Shankar’s Indian 2, though the film failed to make an impact at the box office. Despite having a decent presence in Tamil cinema, she is yet to find success or establish herself strongly in Telugu.
Priya Bhavani Shankar made her Telugu debut in 2023 with Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, followed by Bhimaa, in which she was paired with Gopichand. Unfortunately, neither film managed to succeed at the box office.
Now, she is making another attempt to establish herself in Telugu with Irumudi, which is gearing up for release next week. She plays Kaveri, the wife of Ravi Teja’s character, in the film.
Interestingly, Priya Bhavani Shankar has been quite open about her personal life and relationship, while professionally she is now increasingly taking up wife roles in films.
With “Irumudi,”she is hoping to score a much-needed success in Telugu and gain better opportunities, particularly opposite senior stars.
With Irumudi carrying considerable expectations ahead of its release, Priya Bhavani Shankar is certainly placing high hopes on the film to give her Telugu career the much-needed push.
