Earlier, in an interview with ETV Bharat, Sunny revealed that the makers had been sitting on Batwara 1947‘s story since 2010. “We have been sitting on this story since 2010, but we were fortunate that Aamir wanted to do this film since he had heard it much earlier,” he shared. The Bollywood actor added that Aamir is a great producer, who remebered this subject. He felt nice when the actor decided to come and discuss this project with him.
“Actors who are themselves producers and then collaborating with another actor… there is no insecurity which is the most beautiful thing. Producer has to be like that,” he quipped. In the same conversation, Sunny said Aamir is someone who is hands-on and was always concerned that the film gets made well.
