While the base variant of 2026 Scorpio N Facelift gets relatively fewer updates, it has all the basic features covered
Mahindra recently launched the in the price range of Rs 13.69 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh. The top variant gets a range of premium features such as a Panoramic Skyroof, Sony 12-speaker audio, 540 degree surround view system with blind view monitor and Level 2 ADAS. However, for budget-oriented customers, the preference is likely for one of the lower trims. 2026 Scorpio N base Z2 variant – Exterior features
New Scorpio N Z2 base trim is available with engine options of a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel. Only manual transmission is available with the Z2 trim. The model in the walkaround video is the diesel variant, which is available at a starting price of Rs 14.19 lakh. The Z2 petrol variant is the most accessible at Rs 13.69 lakh.
Across its exterior, the 2026 Scorpio N Z2 variant does not get any major updates. Features such as the matte black front grille with slats in a gloss black finish are the same as earlier. Scorpio N Z2 uses halogen headlights. LED projector headlamps are available with the Z8S variant onwards. The Z2 base variant misses out on features such as chrome garnish, front camera and parking sensors and fog lights.
Moving to the side, Scorpio N Z2 base variant can be seen with 17-inch silver steel wheels and 245-section tyres. There is no option for wheel covers. A number of parts have a blacked-out finish, which creates a powerful contrast with the white colour of the SUV. The matte black finish can be seen on the wheel arches, cladding, door handles, ORVMs and B and C pillars. The base variant does not get any chrome garnish on the windows.
At the rear, the Z2 base variant is equipped with LED taillights and two reverse parking sensors. As compared to the , the base variant misses out on features such as matrix turn indicators, reverse parking camera, and washer, wiper and defogger. Roof mounted spoiler is also not available with the Z2 variant.
Interior, equipment
Inside, key highlights include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch monochrome MID. The base variant has a Type-A USB port, but misses out on Type-C ports at the front available with higher trims. Interior theme uses a combo of black and brown, which is the same as earlier.
Scorpio N Z2 base variant has features like fabric upholstery, all-four power windows and manually adjustable ORVMs. Steering mounted controls for audio are available, but there is no cruise control. Other features include engine start/stop and 2nd row AC vent. Safety kit includes two airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control and hill descent control.
Also included are ventilated disc brakes. The base variant misses out on auto dimming IRVM, driver drowsiness detection, side and curtain airbags, electronic parking brake and tyre pressure monitoring system. Overall, the 2026 Scorpio N Z2 base variant covers all the basic features and continues to be positioned as a value-for-money option.
