The Bollywood actress and her brother Showik Chakraborty were arrested in a drug case linked to Sushant’s death. The actor, known for his role in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, breathed his last on June 14, 2020. In a recent conversation with comedian Tanmay Bhatt, Rhea recalled her time in prison. And now, she has opened up about living under public scrutiny and suspicion for years after Sushant passed away.

On The Traitors season 2, Karan Johar asked whether she wanted to be an innocent or traitor in the game. To this, the actress clearly stated that she wanted to be an ‘innocent’. Recalling the most tough phase of her life, she added, “Iss saal hi actually mujhe clean chit mila hain, iss saal hi logo ko pata chala hai ki mai innocent hoon. Bohot der tak shaq mein rahi hoon toh woh itna pasand nahi hai ab mujhe.”

The actress added that she has been in a place of suspicion for many years. “Kaafi saal kar liya hai maine,” she mentioned. For those unaware, Rhea was cleared of all charges in Sushant’s death case in Central Bureau of Investigation’s closure report.
Not so long ago, the Bollywood actress opened up about the she spent six years ago. While speaking on Tanmay Bhatt’s YouTube channel, Rhea said people inside jail are ‘better’ than people outside jail. Wondering why? The actress revealed, “Because most people, at least in the undertrial prison for women, are innocent, and there’s no hierarchy. ” She stated that everyone is equal inside the jail and they have a number but no name.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar returned with The Traitors 2 on August 13 on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from Rhea, the long list of contestants include Mallika Sherawat, Munawar Faruqui, Shweta Tiwari, Shalini Passi, Ranveer Brar, Soundous Mufakir, Abhishek Malhan, Krystle D’Souza, Karan Singh Magic, Tanya Puri, and more. If media reports are to be believed, the second season was shot at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan like season one. The winners of the first season were Nikita Luther and Uorfi Javed.
