Anticipation is building for the upcoming 20th milestone season of India’s popular reality series Bigg Boss, with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan returning as the host. As preparations pick up pace, reports indicate that the producers have approached a wide range of personalities spanning social media creators, television actors, and former reality show participants to enter the iconic house.
‘Bigg Boss 20’ Rumoured Contestants
While the official roster remains under wraps, a tentative list of prospective housemates has surfaced across industry reports. High-profile content creator and television actor Jannat Zubair is among the top names being linked to the new season, alongside popular digital creator Faisal Shaikh (Mr Faisu).
Other social media influencers and actors reportedly in talks include Lock Upp runner-up Anjali Arora, former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Uorfi Javed, and digital creator Kushal Tanwar (Gullu). The tentative lineup also features television actor Ridhima Gupta, musician and sitar player Bhagirath Bhatt, DJ Ruru Thakur, and former Splitsvilla contestants such as Arbaz Patel and Bhavya Singh.
Additionally, veteran television and film names such as Mahhi Vij, Nia Sharma, Sunil Pal, and Pearl V Puri have also been cited in media reports as potential participants.
What is the ‘Bigg Boss 20’ Theme?
For its 20th edition, the show is introducing a fresh gameplay twist under the tagline and theme “Tathas-two” alongside the concept of “Extra Jeevan Daan” (Extra Life). According to promotional teasers released by the broadcaster, the central theme will introduce strategic lifelines or second chances for contestants, altering how eliminations and daily tasks play out inside the house.
Teasing the mechanism, host Salman Khan noted that while the rule seems straightforward on paper, the practical implications will create higher stakes and force participants to rethink their traditional gameplay strategies .

When is ‘Bigg Boss 20’ Premiering?
Bigg Boss Season 20 is scheduled to grand premiere on September 6, 2026. Audiences will be able to stream the premiere and daily episodes digitally on JioHotstar starting at 9:00 PM IST, followed by a television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 PM IST.
