After receiving a lot of love in Season 1, the show has been one of the most anticipated this year. Featuring 21 contestants, The Traitors 2 was filmed at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, bringing together reality stars, actors and digital creators for an intense game of trust, strategy and deception. The Traitors 2 episodes 1, 2, and 3 were full of drama, and contestants already faced betrayals from those they never thought they would, and by the end of three episodes, four contestants have already been eliminated, including one traitor.

The Traitors 2 episodes 1-3 highlights

As we all know The Traitors India has been adapted from an American reality TV show of the same name, which is based on the Dutch series De Verraders. However, Indian version has more drama and that’s exactly why the show has become popular among fans. In The Traitors 2 episode 1, contestants were welcomed to the royal palace but three contestants – Dalip Tahil, Prish, and Ikka were taken to a different route which was also a part of the game. When the rest of the participants were asked to take part of the first game, they saw Dalip, Prish, and Ikka caged in three boxes and were hanging in the air. Karan Johar declared that they can only save two contestants out of three and after a coin game, Prish and Ikka were saved. Thus, Dalip Tahil became the first contestant to get eliminated from the show without even entering the game properly.

With Dalip eliminated, the remaining 20 contestants were Munawar Faruqui, Mallika Sherawat, Shweta Tiwari, Rhea Chakraborty, Abhishek Malhan, Krystle D’Souza, Shalini Passi, Ranveer Brar, Parul Gulati, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Soundous Moufakir, Harman Singha, Ikka Singh, Sahil Salathia, Shahneel Gill, Rida Tharana, Karan Singh Magic, Tanya Puri, Ansh Chopra and Prish.

Traitors selection

Like Season 1, Karan Johar asked the 20 contestants to gather at the Circle of Shaq and put on the blindfolds. He tapped the shoulders of three contestants and made them the traitors. They got the power of ‘murdering’ the innocents to better their position in the game. The three traitors Kullu, Harman, and Krystle met at the Secret Tower where they plot whom to murder aka eliminate and during their first meet, KJo said that they have the access to make one more contestant as traitor. After a close scrutiny and discussion, the three traitors decided to make Shahneel as the fourth traitor.

After the plotting, the contestants were seen gathering at the palace, scattered with several groups but all have one discussion: who are the traitors?

Mallika Sherawat’s ‘personally attacked’ comment and elimination

During second episode, at the Circle of Shaq, when the contestants were sharing their opinions on whom they think is the traitor, Munawar shared that he thinks it is . He added, “I don’t see you stressed even a little bit,” to which Mallika said, “Because I never take stress and if you think I am the traitor, then I’d be the worst traitor in the history because I’m so visible.” Following the heated argument, Munawar got most of the votes and got eliminated. At the end of the episode, Mallika addressed her argument with Munawar and said, “His attack was personal.” Meanwhile, as the third episode wrapped up, Harman (traitor) and Soundous were also eliminated.
