Dulquer Salmaan Starrer I’m Game Postponed, Actor Announces New Release Date

Onam is one of the most awaited festivals for Malayalis, and this year’s festive season was expected to feature an exciting line-up of films, including I’m Game, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and Khalifa. However, Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game, which marks his much-awaited homecoming to Malayalam cinema, has now been postponed from its August 20 release date. The film will instead arrive in theatres next month. The makers have also announced a bigger release across several languages. The film’s leading actor Dulquer Salman also mentioned in a statement that through this move the makers plan to reach audiences across multiple markets.

In their statement, the makers said, “THE GAME GETS BIGGER. THE RELEASE GETS WIDER.” He also apologised for the delay and confirmed that the film will simultaneously release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. “This decision has been made to give #IMGame the scale, reach, and theatrical platform it truly deserves, allowing audiences across different markets to experience it on the big screen.” read the statement.

The change also alters the previously anticipated Onam box-office scenario, which includes releases such as  ’s Khalifa: Part 1 and Nivin Pauly’s .

I’m Game Plot, Cast And Crew

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath of RDX fame. As per reports, I’m Game stars Dulquer Salmaan as Dan John, a carefree man who has a talent for making easy money. He uses an algorithm to place bets rather than relying entirely on luck. However, his system eventually turns against him, pushing him into a difficult and complicated situation. The film also stars Antony Varghese Pepe, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Mysskin, Samyuktha, Vinay Forrt, Jayasudha and Shyamaprasad in important roles.

The makers have already unveiled the trailer, offering glimpses of Dulquer Salmaan’s character, the action sequences and the film’s visual style. The first single, Mazhavillaye, has also been released. Composed by Jakes Bejoy and sung by Armaan Malik, the romantic track features lyrics by Sharfu.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan has several projects lined up, including the Telugu film Aakasamlo Oka Tara, written and directed by Pavan Sadineni. He is also set to appear in Sri Sri, directed by Ravi Nelakuditi, with Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
