Shalini Passi seems to have found her favourite person on The Traitors Season 2, and it’s none other than Shweta Tiwari. The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives star revealed that she was “obsessed” with her co-contestant Shweta Tiwari during her time on the reality show, praising everything from her expressive eyes and personality to her ability to play the game.
Shalini, who became a familiar face after appearing on the Netflix reality show, is among the celebrity contestants on The Traitors Season 2. Ahead of the show’s premiere, she spoke to Siddharth Kannan about her experience on the show, as well as her equations with fellow contestants Shweta Tiwari and Mallika Sherawat. And clearly, Shweta caught her attention.
During the conversation, Kannan described Shweta as the “perfect onscreen bahu” and asked Shalini about the actor’s presence on the show. She didn’t hold back about her admiration. “I was obsessed with Shweta. I mean, I admire her,” she said. She then went on to gush about Shweta’s appearance and her highly expressive personality.
“She is beautiful, plus her eyes are expressive. When she speaks, her whole face is lit up. Her whole body language, her eyes are so intense,” Shalini said.
But it wasn’t just Shweta’s looks that had Shalini impressed. She also admired the way the actor approached the game, particularly how she was able to step away from the familiar image audiences may associate with her and embrace the competitive side of reality television.
“She played the game very well. She is very intelligent, plus she is an actress. She was very good at masking and unmasking,” she said. Shalini summed up her admiration by calling Shweta “very dynamic” and admitted that she particularly enjoyed watching her navigate the game. “I really like watching her,” she said.
Shalini compares Shweta and Mallika’s energies
She also opened up about her equation with actor Mallika Sherawat, and the contrast between the two actors’ energies clearly caught her attention. She described Mallika, who is also seen on The Traitors Season 2, as one of the original celebrities known for being unapologetically herself. But when it came to the two actors, Shalini felt their energies were quite different.
“Shweta’s energy pulls you in. Mallika is more out,” she said.
Interestingly, Shalini revealed that she, Shweta and Mallika were referred to as “Teen Deviyaan” (three goddesses) on the show. She kept the details of what exactly went down between the trio under wraps, teasing that viewers would have to watch the episodes to find out.
As for Mallika, Shalini admitted that the actor’s strong personality initially made it difficult for her to figure out her energy. But that, she suggested, isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
“I think I do the weirdest things, so whatever anyone likes, they should do,” Shalini said.
