Vishwanath and Sons: Buzz builds up slowly, ticket bookings open

The buzz around Suriya’s “Vishwanath and Sons” is gradually picking up as the film gears up for its theatrical release in two days. The promotional campaign has gained momentum in the last few days, and ticket bookings are now open for both the Tamil and Telugu versions.

The film has received a UA 16+ certificate and has a runtime of 161 minutes. At nearly two hours and 45 minutes, the runtime is slightly long, but it is still considered reasonable for the film’s genre.

One of the key attractions is director Venky Atluri’s writing. The filmmaker is coming off the success of “Lucky Baskhar,” which was widely appreciated for its screenplay and execution and Suriya recently scored massive blockbuster with “Karuppu”. Naturally, there is curiosity to see what these two have to offer the audiences with this emotional drama.

Produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, “Vishwanath and Sons” stars Suriya in the lead role, with Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon play important roles.

GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music. The song “Butterfly” has already emerged as a chartbuster and has added to the film’s pre-release buzz.
