Wamiqa Gabbi is having a strong run in 2026. After a good year in Bollywood, the actress has now gained further attention with her latest Tamil release, DC.
Wamiqa has received appreciation for her performance as Chandra, and the positive response to the film appears to have opened the door to another major opportunity.
According to reports, Wamiqa has been signed for an important role in Jai Hanuman, Prasanth Varma’s ambitious pan-India mythological film.
Kannada star Rishab Shetty plays Lord Hanuman in the film, while details about Wamiqa’s character are being kept under wraps.
Jai Hanuman is the second film in Prasanth Varma’s Cinematic Universe and serves as the sequel to Hanu-Man, the 2024 blockbuster starring Teja Sajja.
The sequel is expected to feature several new actors, with Wamiqa reportedly being one of the notable additions to the cast.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Jai Hanuman went on floors in March. The film is being mounted on a grand scale and is currently targeting a theatrical release in the second half of 2027.
