As turned his attention away, Venky bent down and touched his feet as a mark of respect. Suriya appeared amused by the unexpected gesture and playfully moved towards Venky afterwards. Venky Atluri Touches Suriya’s Feet At Vishwanath And Sons Event
Vishwanath And Sons has completed its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate. The makers confirmed the certification with a new poster ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The film has a runtime of 161 minutes and will hit theatres with a U/A rating. The film is positioned as a family-oriented theatrical entertainer and is scheduled to release in cinemas on August 14, 2026.
How Vishwanath And Sons Came Together
Venky later introduced another idea to Suriya during a phone conversation. The filmmaker said he only narrated the basic concept of a story about a 40-year-old and a 20-year-old instead of presenting the entire screenplay. The idea eventually developed into Vishwanath And Sons, after which producer Rajsekar Pandian invited Venky Atluri to Chennai for a detailed narration. Venky Atluri said that Rajsekar became emotional while listening to the script and later called Suriya to recommend the project.
Suriya also connected with the story during the narration and quickly agreed to come on board. Venky revealed that he narrated the screenplay in April and the team began shooting by May or June. The director also said Suriya was keen to explore a romantic and family-oriented story after several years of appearing in intense action and socially driven films.
