Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are all set to feature in yet another comedy film, Udta Teer after a situational rom-com, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. In the Mudassar Aziz directed film, the duo was not officially paired opposite each other, but in the upcoming comedy film, Ayushmann and Sara will romance. Recently, the makers announced a new release date of Udta Teer, a spy comedy, which is being headlined by Ayushmann and Sara. Earlier, it was supposed to hit the screens on September 11, 2026 but now, the film will release on October 9, 2026.
Udta Teer New Release Date
was supposed to clash with Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali on September 11. However, the makers of the spy comedy have decided to shift the release to Navratri 2026. As per the statement issued by the makers of Udta Teer, the film will now release on October 9, 2026 in theatres.
The statement reads, “Starring and Sara Ali Khan, UDTA TEER brings together humour, chaos and an entertaining family-friendly narrative, marking Ayushmann’s return to the space of comedy-led entertainers.” It has to be noted that Udta Teer is directed by Akash A Kaushik. It marks his debut as a director.

Udta Teer is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain under Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, respectively. Udta Teer will mark Ayushmann’s first collaboration with Dharma Productions.
About Ayushmannn Khurrana And Sara Ali Khan’s Collaboration
Before Udta Teer, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan had featured in , which turned out to be a moderate success at the box office. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film also featured Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh in the key roles.
The situational comedy was a sequel to Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), starring Katrik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in key roles. Released on May 15, 2026, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do received mixed to positive responses from the masses and critics. Pati Patni Aur Woh Do earned Rs 64 crore at the box office in India.
Apart from Udta Teer, Ayushmann Khurrana will next be seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya, in which he is paired opposite Sharvari. The film will mark Ayushmann’s first collaboration with Rajshri Productions. He is also a part of the film, Mupapa, which is currently under production. Stay tuned for more updates!
