Ravi Teja’s “Irumudi” is set to hit theatres on August 21, and the team has begun its promotional campaign with a series of interviews. In a recent YouTube interview, music director GV Prakash Kumar said the film could be pathbreaking for Telugu cinema.
He added that “Irumudi” begins like a regular family drama but gradually moves into a thriller-like space. At the same time, he said the film does not completely move away from the regular commercial movie elements.
When the interviewer expressed surprise at the thriller reference, director Shiva Nirvana stepped in to clarify that “Irumudi” is essentially a family drama driven by emotions. However, the story gradually moves into an unexpected space. He preferred not to label the film as a thriller.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, “Irumudi” features Ravi Teja as a father to a young girl, played by Baby Nakshatra. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead, while GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music.
