Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947 Clash: One-sided lead in Advance booking –

Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947 Clash Advance Sales Update:

The box office clash between  and  ’s   and  and ’s   is getting interesting ahead of their August 14 release. Both films have opened their advance booking, but the early numbers suggest a clear lead for Awarapan 2.

As of now, Awarapan 2 has sold nearly 9,000 tickets across the national chains, including PVR INOX and Cinepolis. In comparison, Batwara 1947 has managed to sell around 1,050 tickets in the same chains. The difference is significant, with Awarapan 2 currently selling several times more tickets than its competitor.

Awarapan 2

Going by the present trend, Awarapan 2 appears to be heading for a much stronger opening at the box office. The film could potentially open around four to five times bigger than Batwara 1947, provided the advance booking momentum continues and shows are added according to demand.

The lead is particularly important because both films are arriving on the same day and will be competing for screens and audience attention throughout the opening weekend. At the moment, Awarapan 2 seems to have a clear advantage, especially among the urban audience and in the major national chains.

However, the box office picture can change quickly after the first day. While advance booking gives Awarapan 2 a strong head start, Batwara 1947 could benefit if it receives positive audience feedback after release. The same applies to Awarapan 2, which will need strong word of mouth to sustain its momentum beyond the opening weekend. There is a huge holiday of 15th August, followed by Sunday boost, so we can expect big numbers at the ticket windows. But how big? Only time will tell.

Batwara 1947

The real test will begin from Monday. If one film connects strongly with the audience, it could gain an advantage during the weekdays. For now, though, Awarapan 2 is comfortably ahead in advance booking and looks set to lead the August 14 clash. Also, the budget for Awarapan 2 is considerably low, so the film will become a Hit in the opening weekend itself and needn’t wait for weekdays. Which film are you excited for?
