Parliament Monsoon Session Live Updates: Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha reconvened at 11:00 am on Tuesday. However, both the houses wintessed intense disruptions that led to early adjournments.
The Lok Sabha has been adjourned until 2:00 pm.
Earlier in the day, amid an ongoing parliamentary logjam, NDA MPs launched a protest march toward Parliament. The MPs targetted the Opposition’s ongoing floor disruptions. Carrying placards directly aimed at Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, the ruling alliance accused him of fleeing a structured debate on recent student protests and the subsequent police crackdown.
In the lower house, several important Bills are scheduled to be considered, including the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026 and the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to move the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026 for consideration and passage in the Lok Sabha today. According to the Revised List of Business, Shah will move a motion to take up the Bill. The bill seeks to change the name of the State of Kerala, for consideration.
Shah will also move the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026. The Bill seeks to further amend the National Co-operative Development Corporation Act, 1962. It will be taken up for consideration and passage, with any amendments that may be proposed.
On Monday, four key Bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha amid protests and uproar. These included the Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2026, the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026, and the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
