Tabu unveils fierce character Gauri Hegde from ‘Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road’

Tabu has given audiences a first look at her character Gauri Hegde from director Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film ‘Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road’. The actor shared a video introducing the character on social media, offering a glimpse of the role she plays alongside Vijay Sethupathi.

Tabu portrays Gauri Hegde, an Income Tax officer presented as a tough and uncompromising figure. The character is shown confronting criminals without hesitation and appears to have a strong presence within the film’s story.

One of the notable aspects of Tabu’s performance is her use of a Hyderabadi dialect. The actor has previously spoken about the experience of adapting her dialogue delivery for the character and described the process as enjoyable.

The character video presents Gauri as a fearless officer who is willing to take on powerful adversaries. Several action moments show her confronting and overpowering opponents, while another sequence features her questioning Vijay Sethupathi’s character.

The glimpse concludes with Tabu introducing herself as Gauri Hegde, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. Tabu credited director Puri Jagannadh for creating the character and also acknowledged producer Charmme Kaur for her role in bringing the film together.

The post received an enthusiastic response from fans, many of whom praised Tabu’s appearance and the intensity of the character.

‘Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road’ features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, along with Tabu, Samyuktha, Duniya Vijay Kumar, Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh. The film’s teaser, released in June, presented it as an action-heavy drama. Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur are producing the project under Puri Connects.
