Telugu actor Satyadev has admitted that public figures in the film industry often cannot afford to openly express their political views.
Speaking on a podcast, he said, “In the entertainment industry, you can never deliver an honest opinion,” explaining that actors have to be careful not to alienate any section of the audience.
Calling it a “business model,” Satyadev added, “I can never be vocal about what I like and don’t like.”
He further remarked that anyone choosing to take a political stand should “have the kind of money that will forgive anything,” stressing that diplomacy is essential for survival in the entertainment industry.
The Telugu psychological drama “Rao Bahadur,” starring Satyadev and directed by Venkatesh Maha, is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on July 3, 2026.
