Priyanka Chopra Seeks Blessings At Siddhivinayak Temple During Mumbai Visit – Watch

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ much-anticipated return to Indian cinema has kept her fans on their toes. She is in Hyderabad for the shoot of SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Amid the filming, Priyanka took a break and came to Mumbai to visit her mother, Dr Madhu Chopra, and brother Siddharth. Four-year-old Malti Marie Chopra Jonas joined her mother. During her stay in Mumbai, Priyanka visited Siddhivinayak Temple. On Monday, the actress was seen at the Lord Ganesha shrine with her cousin, actress Mannara Chopra.

Priyanka wore a pastel pink ethnic suit. She greeted fans and paparazzi standing outside the temple. Carrying the sacred offerings home for the family, Priyanka walked barefoot to the car. Mannara was seen with her elder cousin sister.

Priyanka wished her Varanasi co-star   on his birthday with a behind-the-scenes picture. Her caption on X read, “Happy Birthday Bob. Here’s to going on the ultimate adventure with #Varanasi.”

SS Rajamouli shares update on Varanasi

In an interview with Tsounami, Rajamouli confirmed that 80 per cent of the film’s shoot has been wrapped. He further added that the post-production work is happening simultaneously. “Every completed sequence is immediately edited and sent to the visual effects team, allowing different departments to work in parallel and keep the production on schedule,” he said.

Rajamouli further dismissed speculations of   being a two-part film. He said the runtime of the movie will be over three hours.

Varanasi movie synopsis

According to reports, the synopsis of Varanasi is, “In the year 2027, the world faces an existential crisis as a massive asteroid named Shambhavi is on a direct collision course with the holy city of Varanasi. A rugged archaeologist and explorer, Rudhra, is recruited for a high-stakes, globetrotting mission to recover an ancient cosmic artefact, joined by Mandakini, a fierce historian and skilled marksman. Their quest becomes a high-tech sci-fi thriller racing across the jungles of Africa, the icy wastes of Antarctica, and the landscapes of Europe, pursued by the tech-genius villain Kumbha. The key to stopping a future catastrophe lies hidden within the city’s mythical past.”

Mahesh plays the role of Rudhra.  is Mandakini and Prithviraj is the antagonist, Kumbha. The action-adventure movie will release in theatres on April 7, 2027. It is said to be the most expensive Indian film ever made. The budget is estimated to be between Rs 1,200 crore and Rs 1,400 crore.
