Aamir Khan Productions’ much-awaited film ‘Batwara 1947’, featuring acclaimed actress Shabana Azmi, renowned actor Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in prominent roles, has already generated considerable excitement among audiences across the country. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan Partition and explores the human emotions and experiences associated with one of the most defining chapters in history.
As part of the film’s multi-city promotional campaign, the team has already travelled to Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Patna and Lucknow, connecting with audiences across different cities. The team has now reached Punjab, where the promotional campaign is being taken forward on a larger scale with a series of activities across the state.
During the Punjab promotional tour of ‘Batwara 1947’, Sunny Deol and Karan Deol visited the Partition Museum in Amritsar. Sunny Deol also shared a glimpse of his visit on social media, where he was seen carefully observing photographs, documents and memories depicting the difficult days of the Partition.
Set against the painful backdrop of the Partition, ‘Batwara 1947’ presents an emotional story that highlights the human cost of the historic division while celebrating compassion, hope and the enduring spirit of humanity.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, the film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The music has been composed by A. R. Rahman, while the lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit.
