Dewald Brevis produced yet another moment of pure audacity as London Spirit defeated Birmingham Phoenix by seven wickets to complete their group-stage campaign in seventh position in The Hundred 2026. Brevis smashed a stunning 97-metre no-look six during his unbeaten 55 off 31 balls, adding another highlight to his power-hitting abilities.
Chasing 163, London Spirit raced to 166/3 in just 82 balls, finishing the contest with 18 deliveries to spare. Liam Livingstone led the charge with a blistering 66 off 30 balls, while Brevis complemented him superbly with an unbeaten 55 off 31 deliveries.
The highlight of Brevis’ innings was an outrageous 97-metre no-look six. The South African batter connected cleanly and sent the ball soaring over the boundary while keeping his head down, producing another viral moment in his impressive The Hundred campaign.
Brevis and Livingstone completely changed the complexion of the chase after London Spirit lost Jonny Bairstow early for 10. The pair stitched together a commanding 103-run partnership, taking the game away from Birmingham Phoenix.
Livingstone was particularly destructive against his former side, smashing a huge 104-metre six during his 66-run knock. Brevis then stayed unbeaten to guide London Spirit comfortably over the line.

Earlier, Birmingham Phoenix recovered from a slow start to post 162/4 from their 100 balls. They managed just 25 runs during the opening 25-ball powerplay but accelerated spectacularly in the second half, adding 109 runs from their final 50 deliveries.
Joe Clarke anchored the innings with a superb 73 off 42 balls, hitting four fours and five sixes. Sean Dickson provided the late fireworks, finishing unbeaten on 51 off 28 balls.
Adam Milne was the pick of the London Spirit bowlers, claiming 1/36 and making an important early breakthrough.
The victory lifted London Spirit to seventh in the table, while Birmingham Phoenix finished eighth. With both teams completing their group-stage campaigns, Brevis’ spectacular no-look six and Livingstone’s explosive knock provided the defining moments of the contest.
