Global star Priyanka Chopra has joined the viral ‘Kinda Chic’ trend on social media, giving it her own playful spin with a series of personal statements about her life and career.
Priyanka took to Instagram on Saturday and shared a series of photographs accompanied by captions highlighting experiences and choices that she considers “kinda chic”.
Among the statements were “Kinda chic to have been underestimated”, “Kinda chic to start over in your 30s”, “Kinda chic to stand out” and “Kinda chic to move continents without plan”.
She also included more personal references, such as “Kinda chic to have met your husband at the Met Gala”, “Kinda chic to marry my Bollywood hero”, “Kinda chic to be a little human’s safe space” and “Kinda chic to say no without any explanation”.
Other entries touched on her career, family and personality, including “Kinda chic to be on the ISRO merch mailing list”, “Kinda chic to wake up and choose violence” and “Kinda chic just to try…and see what happens”.
However, Priyanka appeared to poke fun at the trend itself, captioning her post, “kinda chic to hate this trend”.
The ‘Kinda Chic’ trend has gained popularity on Instagram, with users listing everyday choices, experiences and personal qualities that make them feel stylish, confident or comfortable with themselves. The trend has also been associated with themes of self-love and individuality.
On the professional front, Priyanka is set to headline filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s upcoming Telugu epic ‘Varanasi’, alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The action-adventure film is expected to release in April 2027. Priyanka will portray Mandakini, a fierce historian who assists Rudhra, played by Mahesh Babu, on his global mission to save the holy city of Varanasi from an asteroid named Shambhavi.
