Actress Nikita Rawal was left visibly surprised and uncomfortable after a female fan unexpectedly kissed her on the lips during a recent red carpet appearance, with a video of the incident subsequently drawing attention on social media.
The incident took place as Rawal was posing for photographers at an event. A female admirer approached her and asked for a selfie. While Rawal initially appeared comfortable interacting with the fan, the situation quickly became awkward when the woman kissed her on the cheek.
The admirer then pulled Rawal closer and kissed her on the lips. Rawal appeared taken aback and tried to stop the interaction, but the fan continued holding on to her. Before leaving, the woman kissed the actress on the cheek again.
The entire interaction was captured on camera and the video has since circulated widely on social media.
Several users criticised the fan’s behaviour, with some describing the incident as harassment and questioning why action was not taken.
Rawal has worked in both Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Her film credits include Black & White, Mr Hot & Mr Kool, The Hero – Abhimanyu, Ammaa Ki Boli, Garam Masala and Cute Kameena.
She is set to appear in the upcoming drama Roti Kapda Aur Romance, in which she will share screen space with Arshad Warsi and Chunky Pandey.
