The show’s popularity is such that one 16-year-old boy from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, decided to travel nearly 900 km to Mumbai with a dream of becoming part of it. The teenager reportedly left home without informing his family and made his way to Mumbai by train. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when police found him wandering alone in Film City.

ABP Live mentioned that according to the police, the 16-year-old boy left his home in Chhindwara on Thursday (August 6) afternoon on the pretext of going to school. Instead, he headed to the railway station and boarded a train to Nagpur. From there, he took a connecting train to Mumbai and arrived at Goregaon station the following morning.

Driven by his dream of becoming an actor and appearing in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the teenager then walked from Goregaon towards Film City. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when police spotted him wandering alone in the area.

Following a tip-off, a mobile police unit reached the spot and took him to Aarey Police Station. During questioning, the minor reportedly told the police that he had travelled all the way to Mumbai hoping to pursue an acting career and work in the popular sitcom.

The police then contacted his family, who revealed that he had been missing since Thursday. The teenager is currently safe with the Aarey police, while his father is travelling to Mumbai to bring him home.

Dilip Joshi has dismissed rumours that he is leaving , reassuring fans that he continues to be part of the long-running sitcom. The actor, who has played Jethalal Gada for nearly 18 years, also urged media outlets to verify information before publishing reports. Reflecting on the show’s journey, he expressed gratitude that the comedy continues to entertain audiences after over 4,750 episodes. Joshi said, “For a comedy show to run for 18 years is unbelievable in itself,” adding, “I am grateful to God that even today, all of us are shooting with the same passion and enthusiasm, and we are trying to make people laugh.”
