Glasgow Cosmic has officially signed New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham for the inaugural season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL).
His addition strengthens the team with a proven match-winner.
Matthew Hayden, co-owner of Glasgow Cosmic, welcomed Neesham, stating, “Jimmy (James) Neesham is an exceptional match-winner. His all-round capabilities and experience make him a crucial player for Glasgow Cosmic in the first season of ETPL.”

Neesham will contribute his international experience with impressive batting and medium-pace bowling. He has represented New Zealand in all formats, participating in major global tournaments like the ICC Cricket and T20 World Cup.
The 33-year-old all-rounder has established himself as a game-changer in the shortest format. Known for scoring quickly in death overs and taking key wickets, Neesham has consistently performed well in T20 leagues worldwide.
As one of the initial franchises in the ETPL, Glasgow Cosmic is focused on strengthening its squad. The franchise aims to create a competitive and globally appealing team by incorporating international stars and emerging talents.
The European T20 Premier League is set to be a significant tournament aimed at expanding cricket’s reach across Europe while bringing together top international players and local talent in a franchise-based format.
Neesham has scored 709 runs and taken 14 wickets in 12 Test matches. In One Day Internationals, he has played 76 matches, scoring 1,495 runs and taking 71 wickets. He has also played 105 T20 internationals, amassing 1,105 runs and claiming 64 wickets.
