Mahesh Bhatt shares a loving relationship with his granddaughter Raha. Daughter of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the little one was born on November 4, 2022. In a recent interview, veteran filmmaker Mahesh had the sweetest words to say about his granddaughter. Speaking to an entertainment portal, the director opened up about the bond he shares with Raha. While discussing it, he opened up about a special moment he recently shared with the baby girl at her school. Other than that, Bhatt lauded his daughter, Alia, for balancing her professional and personal life well.
Mahesh Bhatt Talks About Granddaughter Raha Kapoor
In an interview with ETimes, said, “She’ll outdistance Ranbir Kapoor and Alia by miles. “She’s different. She has a different vibe.” The filmmaker shared that when Raha comes, the entire house becomes ‘hostage’ to her energy. He mentioned that she becomes the centre of everything.

Talking about his recent special memory with Raha, the filmmaker recalled visiting Raha’s school for grandparents’ day with his in-law Neetu Kapoor as his wife Soni Razdan was in Istanbul. “We were walking through a cloud of soap bubbles. I was holding Raha’s hand while Neetu was holding the other. It was a beautiful moment. That was something which I remember doing with only Pooja (Bhatt).”
That moment with Raha reminded Mahesh of his memories of walking with his daughter Pooja when she was a child. “Suddenly, time collapsed. She is a vibrant version of Pooja. (Eventually) The same kind of family,” he added.
Mahesh Bhatt On Unsual Bond With Raha Kapoor
Contining the chat, Mahesh opened up about his unusual bond with his grandaughter Raha. The filmmaker revealed that the little one can’t figure him out. “She probably wonders, ‘Who is this man and why does he speak the way he speaks?’ I manage to tell her one story,” the director stated.
On a concluding note, the veteran filmmaker stated that Raha enjoys correcting him whenever she incorrectly pronounces the name of an animal. “Soni is very protective of her. She has got the best Nani, and Dadi,” he revealed.
