Salman Khan’s House Security Policeman Dies After Collapsing Outside Actor’s Mumbai Residence

A policeman guarding the house of Salman Khan has died. The 41-year-old constable of Mumbai police, who was on duty as part of the actor’s security cover outside his Mumbai residence, reportedly fell ill and collapsed suddenly. He later passed away. The person identified as Ganesh, was rushed to the nearby hospital, but he was declared brought dead, said a senior Mumbai Police official. Police said he died of a heart attack. It comes at a time when the Bhaijaan of Bollywood is under enhanced security, following threats against him reportedly issued by Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in jail.

On August 8, IANS reported that the unfortunate incident happened with a constable who had been deployed outside Salman Khan’s house.

The security cover comes due to the various threats Salman has received over the years in relation to the long running Black Buck case from the 90’s. The actor has been targeted in the name of  for the same. The situation has resulted in heightened security surrounding Salman and his movements.

There was heightened security concern in April 2024 when two men on a motorcycle allegedly opened fire several times outside Salman Khan’s  residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The incident led to a huge investigation and tighter security for the actor. The shooting was later linked to the network of Lawrence Bishnoi, and investigators reportedly found that the attack was meant to threaten Salman. Since then, the actor has continued to have heightened security when out in public and when travelling.

What Salman said about his security

Salman Khan has talked about the problems of living with beefed-up security in the past. The actor, who had met the media in Mumbai last year, opened up about his security and said sometimes it gets difficult to move around with a large security detail around him. But he also said he does not live in fear of the threats against him and puts his trust in God.

The actor told the media, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai (It’s all up to God, Allah. What is written is written. That’s all). Sometimes, having to move around with so many people becomes a problem.”

Salman’s comments are indicative of his attitude to the situation in which he continues to fulfil his professional duties despite the security problems.
